COVID-19 UPDATES

To our patients,

As you know your care and safety and the safety of our team is our top priority.

Recommendations to dental offices are changing rapidly regarding shelter in place, social distancing and essential dental treatment. We are working hard to remain compliant with the recommendation by the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and our Governor that California dentists suspend all care other than essential and emergency treatment.

If you have any questions regarding your dental care or have urgent concerns, please call us or send a direct message through our website; we are here for you and will be seeing emergency patients.

Our phones will be answered during our normal business hours and, as always, we can be reached outside of the business hours for any emergency calls.

We are looking forward to returning to patient care and the opportunity to once again visit with our dental family of patients…we miss you all!

Thank you for being our patients!

Restore Your Smile

Restorative Dentistry Rancho Cucamonga

Dental Implants

Dental implants are small titanium posts surgically implanted in the jaw. The implant becomes fused with the jaw bone, providing an outstanding anchor for crowns and dentures. Dr. Mateja refers the placement of dental implants to a trusted oral surgeon. Once the implant is in place, Dr. Mateja can provide your permanent restoration. With dental implants, you can bite into steaks and apples with complete confidence, and you never need to worry about your dentures slipping out of place.

Dental Crowns and Bridges

Dental crowns are custom tooth-shaped caps that can cover a tooth following treatment for trauma or advanced decay, or restore a dental implant. Dental bridges, also known as partial dentures, are replacement teeth anchored by adjacent dental crowns, or a dental implant. Dr. Mateja works with an outstanding offsite lab to create fully customized crowns and bridges that can restore balance, function, and a beautiful natural appearance to your smile.

Dentures

Modern dentures fit more comfortably than ever before. Dr. Sharon Mateja offers three types of dentures, and will work closely with you to determine the best type for your needs. Traditional dentures are removable, and rest on your gums. Implant-supported dentures are also removable, but attach to implants, providing a stable base and preventing the dentures from slipping. They are primarily suited for your lower jaw. Implant-retained dentures are non-removable, and are securely fastened to implants. These dentures are suitable for both your upper and lower arch.

Inlays and Onlays

Following treatment for some cavities, a simple filling may not provide adequate structural support. In these cases, inlays and onlays can be the ideal method for repairing your tooth. Sometimes called “partial crowns,” inlays and onlays are custom porcelain restorations that fill the void left by a treated cavity. Onlays are smaller and are applied inside the cusps of the tooth, while inlays are used to treat the outer surfaces of a tooth.

Fillings

Dr. Mateja offers fillings made from tooth-colored resin, providing a natural-looking restoration. The filling bonds to your tooth, strengthening it and protecting it from further damage. Whether you need a new filling or you are looking to replace an old one, tooth-colored composites provide stability while maintaining your beautiful smile.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

If you have suffered extensive damage or decay, or if you have significant problems with your bite, you may benefit from a full mouth reconstruction. This procedure combines one or more restorative treatments to repair damage and correct structural problems.  Full mouth reconstruction can also include periodontal treatment, endodontics (also called root canal), and other general dentistry procedures. Before beginning your reconstruction, Dr. Mateja will conduct an extensive examination to determine your overall dental health and needs.
