Sharon B. Mateja, DDS

Dr. Mateja is a graduate of Loma Linda School of Dentistry; she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1982.

In 1984, as Director of the Medically Indigent Adult Program at San Bernardino County Hospital, Dr. Mateja helped to establish the first dental facility to care for medically indigent patients in the county.

Dr. Mateja opened her private practice in 1985, at the present location, to serve the residents of Rancho Cucamonga and surrounding communities.

In addition to her esthetic & restorative practice, Dr. Mateja is a faculty member at Loma Linda Dental School where she holds the position of Associate Professor, Restorative Dentistry.

Dr. Mateja is active in community service, in the Tri County Dental Society and is a past Board member for the Loma Linda Dental School Alumni Association. 

When not in the office, Dr. Mateja attends many continuing education courses in advanced esthetic, restorative and dental implant procedures throughout Southern California. An avid golfer, she can be found on the links on many Inland Empire courses. She also spends time in her garden, which is lovingly called "the forest", where she has Coconut Orchids, Staghorn Fern, Kangaroo Paws, and a family of kittens that she “adopted” when she found them huddled in the shrimp plants

Sandra Fahey, RDH

Sandra received her RDH (Registered Dental Hygiene) license in 2005, as a member of the first graduating class of Riverside Community College. While in school, Sandra was an active member in the Student American Dental Hygienist Association (SADHA) participating in conferences in Dallas, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada. As Vice President of her class she organized many dental community events and club meetings. 

She volunteers time in local elementary schools and pre-schools educating children on the importance of oral health care as well as educating parents of the need for early dental visits. 

Sandra is a busy mom of two children, Tyler and Kaylin. She is also an avid runner and recently ran 26.2 miles in the L.A. Marathon. 

Sandra is an invaluable member of our dental team. Patients love her gentle touch, kind demeanor and the education she gives them so that they can maintain their dental health when away from our office. 

Elizabeth Mendoza, RDA (Assistant Emeritus)

In August 2019, Lisa retired after 30 years of exemplary service to our patients and to our office. She was a prized member of our team and still makes an occasional appearance to assist on days where we need an extra hand; that is why Lisa is our "Assistant Emeritus". 

In 1990, Lisa became a licensed RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) and earned her AA degree (Associate of Arts) from Chaffey College in 1991; Dr. Mateja and her staff proudly attended her graduation and cheered wildly as her received her diploma. 

Lisa’s son Brandon is her pride and joy and grew up as an "unofficial" team member of the practice.

Currently, Lisa and her husband are enjoying retired life with frequent trips to the river. and enjoying quality family time.  

Erika Arellano, DA

Erika is a licensed Dental Assistant and has been part of our team since 2000. 

Erika is highly dedicated to the dental profession and regularly attends continuing education programs to enhance her dental knowledge. 

Erika controls and monitors our sterilization, maintains organization in the operatory and assists Dr. Mateja chair side to help provide the highest quality of patient care.  Erika is a true asset to our practice.

Erika is a wife and a proud mother of two beautiful children, Alejandra (9) and Nicholas (4). When she is not working, Erika enjoys baking and taking care of her home. 

Jennifer Fullem, Office Manager

Jennifer is the nexus of our practice. Her organizational skills, coupled with her knowledge of dentistry, insurance systems and treatment planning, provide the necessary components of an exceptional Office Manager.

It is Jennifer who implements and maintains our office systems and procedures, while providing the training to staff as we incorporate state of the art technology. Jennifer has a Business Management degree from the University of Phoenix and has used her education to provide optimum benefits to patients for over 12 years.

Jennifer is a prized member of our team and is extremely committed to the dental profession. She and her family recently relocated to Katy, Texas. While we miss seeing her in the office, she still maintains control of critical business procedures and decisions while working remotely. As a wife and a proud mom of two boys, Hayden & Garrett, Jennifer keeps herself very involved outside of the office. She and her husband spend most weekends at church and outdoors watching their kids thrive in their many sporting events.

Deanna Contreras, Treatment Coordinator

Deanna rejoined our team in 2012 as a Treatment Coordinator. Not new to the practice, she worked here as a File Clerk and Front Office Assistant right out of high school. In that role, Deanna quickly learned insurance processing, scheduling and how to help patients treatment plan for the dentistry they want. Deanna feels at home in the office and considers everyone family, especially her cousin, Jennifer. Deanna looks up to all the women in the office and learns career and life lessons everyday. Deanna’s favorite part of her job is seeing how happy patients are with their beautiful smiles. She recently took on a bigger role in Dr. Mateja’s office and is now managing the front office under the direction of our Office Manager, Jennifer Fullem.

When she is not working, Deanna loves making memories with her ten-year old son, Elijah and her four-year old daughter, Avery. She enjoys reading, going to the movies and spending time with friends and family.
